Bolay Fresh Bold Kitchen Unveils Second Location in Tampa Bay

Exciting Fast-Casual Concept Brings the Latest Addition to the St. Pete Culinary Scene

TAMPA, Fla. (October 18, 2021) – Bolay Fresh Bold Kitchen is making another splash in the Tampa Bay market with the debut of their St. Petersburg restaurant, the second for the region after the Brandon location was opened earlier this year. On Thursday, November 11th, the dynamic and freshness-fueled build your own ‘Bol’ concept from South Florida will open and mark the 20th location in less than six years for the rapidly growing brand. Created by Chris Gannon, son of Outback Steakhouse Founder Tim Gannon, the fast-casual concept seeks to offer food that is craveable, nutritious, wholesome and nourishing paired with a culture of inspiration for their guests to be the best version of themselves. The Grand Opening week will play host to ‘Bolay Fest,’ a celebration featuring local vendors like Posies Flower Truck, a craft coffee company and live music, as well as giveaways and $50 worth of Bolay cuisine to the first 100 guests on opening day.

Bolay was designed with the belief that excellent food fuels an amazing lifestyle. The brand prides itself on bold flavors, custom spice blends and an enticing menu conceived by some of the most talented people in the business thanks to deep roots within the restaurant industry. Bolay boasts an offering of pre-composed Bols as well as endless opportunities for customization across their chef-inspired menu along with gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options. Guests build their own Bols starting with bases such as Jasmine Rice, Kale Yeah Salad blend and Cilantro Noodles, topped with veggies featuring options like Herb Roasted Potatoes, Tuscan Zucchini and Ginger Broccoli. Proteins come next with something for everyone like Mojo Pulled Pork, Savory Miso Glazed Tofu and Lemon Chicken, then each Bol is finished with add-ons like fresh cilantro and parmesan cheese followed by signature sauces. Guests can also find freshly squeezed juices, brewed teas and desserts to complement their meal.

“As an 18-year resident of St. Pete, I feel honored and excited by the opportunity to be the first to bring Bolay to this incredible city that I know and love,” said Sean McGrath, operating partner of the newest Bolay Fresh Bold Kitchen. “I have spent more than 25 years in the hospitality industry and in that time I have never before felt as passionate about my work as I do now. Bolay curates this amazing experience between the food, atmosphere, guest experience, company culture and overall ethos, ultimately creating a perfect match for the St. Pete lifestyle. I can’t wait to welcome the community in and have them become part of the Bolay family.”

Found at 1330 4th Street North, the 2,411 square foot space will allow for indoor and al fresco seating for a total of nearly 50 guests. Dine-in, curbside pickup and direct delivery via their website will be available to best suit how every guest would like to enjoy their favorite Bol, along with catering and Family Meal options.

Grand Opening week will play host to numerous special events and surprises with the biggest bash set for Saturday November 13th. ‘Bolay Fest’ will be held from 10 AM – 2 PM with doors opening at 11 AM. During the celebration, the first 100 guests in line from eligible local zip codes will receive $50 worth of Bolay vouchers. On site, Posies Flower Truck will be giving away 50 free mini bouquets to guests in line with other arrangements and stems available for purchase. Local vendors will be serving up the freshly brewed coffee creations and live music from a local artist will set the stage for fun.

In addition to the fest, a wide variety of opportunities will be available for the local community to immerse themselves in the Bolay Way. Soft openings on Tuesday the 9th from 12 PM – 1:30 PM and 6:30 PM to 8 PM and Wednesday from 12 PM to 1:30 PM will offer free regular Bols with a social media check in. On Thursday the 11th, Veterans will enjoy free regular Bols all day along with a valid Military ID. On Friday the 12th, Bolay will honor the educators of the community by offering complimentary regular Bols for teachers with valid school ID. On Sunday the 14th kids ages 12 and under will eat free all day long with the purchase of a regular Bol at $8.79 value or greater, and 20% of all sales from the day will be donated to the Children’s Dream Fund.

“St. Petersburg is a vibrant, fun, culture-rich community that we have wanted on our roster for some time,” said Chris Gannon, CEO and Co-founder of Bolay Fresh Bold Kitchen. “Being our 20th location in just under six years, I can’t help but feel like this is a celebration of sorts ¬– and this community is the perfect place for it. We are looking forward to continuing our growth in the region and to invite and inspire our guests to join us on our journey to help cultivate a healthier lifestyle through our passion for flavorful, quality food.”

The Bolay culture is one with a heavy focus on community, health, fitness, passion, flavor and service. They continue to keep the health and safety of guests and team members top of mind with a variety of COVID-19 protocols in place such as handwashing stations as well as masks and wellness checks for team members. Speaking of team members, the location will bring the opportunity for 50 new jobs to the market contributing to the economic growth of the community. Friendly foodies are encouraged to apply here.
